Hi, I’m Karla! I have always been creative, but never considered myself to be an artist. My grandmother, great-uncle, and my mother all had a gift for painting. Somehow, I knew that IF I ever learned to paint, I might be good at it too. I hoped it might run in our genes.

For years, I procrastinated bringing my dream of painting to life. And then, a few years ago, I met a painting teacher with whom I resonated. I wanted to see if I really possessed any painting ability AND if it might be something I would enjoy.

From the moment I held a paintbrush and learned some basic techniques, I knew I wanted to include it in my life.

I paint for the joy of it, not to please anyone other than me. I am happiest when I am painting landscapes - water, vineyards, farms, trees, and flowers.

Living surrounded by Oregon Wine Country, there is beauty everywhere. I am inspired daily by the scenery I get to enjoy. My wish is that my paintings bring a little joy into your life and home!
